“I Hope One Day We’ll Meet Again: Contemplations of the Human Condition”

Two friends and I had to each conceive of a piece of street art this week and submit it by Friday. It had to be original and cost nothing. Click the link for mine –

“I Hope One Day We’ll Meet Again: Contemplations of the Human Condition” (2014), monochrome works on paper.

I wrote a series of signs that depict facets of the human condition. Walking the streets of my neighbourhood, China Town and Little Italy, I asked locals to choose a sign that best articulates their fears in life. These fears, which transcend gender, race, culture and class, are the inescapable parts of humanity from which we suffer. The title comes from my favourite sign, which was not chosen.

Please view the image on large screen, and note that in real life it is 1m x 2m and hangs flat on a wall.
